Help us achieve excellence for your dancer!
Parent Partnership with the Academy

The Academy of Nickerson-Rossi Dance is a comprehensive dance education program focused on classical dance (ballet and modern) and supplemental contemporary and jazz dance genres. Founded by company Artistic Director Michael Nickerson-Rossi, the academy opens doors to dancers seeking pathways to the professional industries in dance or collegial dance programs.
Student Partnership
Parents are responsible for informing and reminding their dancers of all student partnership items.
Communication
Communication from the Academy mainly comes through email, so please check your email for updates on Academy events and closures.
Please do not personally contact our Faculty with questions; instead, please contact an Academy Director and Front Desk Staff.

Dress Code
Students must follow the Academy dress code at all times. If you have any questions concerning the dress code, please contact a staff member or refer to our website (nickersonrossidance.com/dress-code).
Attendance
Students are strongly advised to be present in class each week. This is critical for successfully progressing in dance. Please let us know if your child must be absent frequently or for any length of time. Make-up classes are not granted but can potentially be arranged depending on the class option. There are no refunds for missed classes under any circumstance.

Tardiness
Students are expected to arrive at least 5 minutes before their scheduled class. If a student is more than 10 minutes late to a class and a parent has not communicated why the student is late with a staff member, the student will be asked to sit out of the class.
Cleanliness and Property
The Academy asks families to take all trash with them and not leave any food or drink products in the dance studio. Please utilize the trash cans found outside the studios.
The Academy is not responsible for any damages to personal property.
The Academy is not responsible for missing items. Items that are not collected will be thrown away one month after they are found.
Class Observation
Due to limited space, keeping a focused education environment, and unmanageable family members, the Academy no longer allows class observation. The Academy requests that families drop off and pick up students. Families are welcome to watch the last 5 minutes of class and ask questions during the 15-minute class transition, but they may not be allowed outside of these timeframes.
